How it Happened
Stetson quickly established a commanding lead, scoring seven of the first eight goals in the opening frame. With just under three minutes remaining in the first quarter, Murphy connected with first-year student Meaghan Fealy to put the Skyhawks on the board.

Stonehill narrowed its deficit to five goals at halftime, having outscored Stetson 2-1 in the second quarter. Murphy scored two of her four goals on the day in the second, at the 10:07 and 3:33 marks, sending the teams to the break with the Skyhawks trailing, 8-3.

After halftime, Stetson regained its offensive momentum from the first quarter, adding seven more goals compared to Stonehill's two. Heading into the fourth quarter, the Hatters held a decisive 10-goal lead. The only interruptions to Stetson's offensive surge came from Murphy, who completed her fifth hat trick of the season, and sophomore Cameron Flaherty, who scored a player-up goal with 3:22 remaining in the third.

Although Stonehill outscored Stetson 5-2 in the final 15 minutes, thanks to goals from juniors Emily LaPia and Natalie Coutu, along with Murphy and Bowman, the Skyhawks were unable to complete the comeback, falling to the Hatters by a final score of 17-10.
