CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 11, 2025) – After securing the doubles point, the Stonehill College men's tennis team was swept by The Citadel in singles play, falling by a final score of 6-1 Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Skyhawks dropped to 5-6 overall, while the Bulldogs improved to 4-16 on the year.

How It Happened
- Van Dyke combined with junior Tucker Hendrix to defeat the Skyhawk's top doubles pairing of senior Jacob Wilhelm Krefting and junior Mark Kröll at No. 1 doubles, 6-3.
- Arredondo and Bennaton took down Bagwell and sophomore Diego Ladino, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles to force a deciding third doubles match.
- Chastang and Duhil de Bénazé teamed up to clinch the Skyhawks' doubles point with a 6-3 victory over Beckendorf and Osipov.
- Van Dyke capped off his individual double win on the day with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Bennaton at No. 1 singles.
- After Bagwell and Minnich improved the overall match lead in points for the Bulldogs to 3-1 with respective wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, Beckendorf and Kröll were locked in a tight match at No. 4 singles.
- Beckendorf prevailed victorious to secure the match victory for The Citadel with a three-set triumph, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3, against Kröll.
- Osipov and Hardin rounded out the Bulldog's sweep of singles competition with individual victories over Chastang and senior Mateo Mallen, respectively.
