PROVIDENCE, R.I. (March 30, 2025) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team was swept, 4-0, by non-conference opponent Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island Sunday afternoon. With the defeat, the Skyhawks fell to 6-10 overall, while the Bears improved to 18-6 on the year.
How It Happened
- Junior Noah Hernandez and freshman Lukas Phimvongsa swept the Skyhawks' top doubles pairing of senior Jacob Wilhelm Krefting and Mark Kröll at No. 1 doubles.
- Senior Sam Feldman and sophomore James Lian clinched the doubles point for the Bears with a 6-0 triumph over freshmen Nicolas Arredondo and Guillermo Bennaton.
- Hernandez earned his double win on the day with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles against Bennaton, while Lian secured his double victory at No. 3 singles, defeating Arredondo, 6-0, 6-1.
- Freshman Toby Luo picked up a win at No. 4 singles against Kröll, 6-2, 6-1, to help clinch the overall match victory for Brown.
