AMHERST, Mass. (April 13, 2025) – The Stonehill College track and field team competed in the UMass Commonwealth Invitational at the UMass Track & Field Complex on Sunday.
 
WOMEN'S EVENTS

• Freshman Hannah Santos (Swansea, Mass.) tied for third in the high jump, reaching a mark of 1.56m (5' 1.5").
• Graduate student Abigail Larsson (Bayport, N.Y.) had her best performance in the pole vault this season, placing sixth as she reached 3.67m (12'0.5"), setting the top mark in the Northeast Conference this spring.
• Sophomore Kayla Oakes (Kingston, N.Y.) placed eighth in the long jump with a leap of 5.43m (17' 9.75"), the sixth-best mark in the NEC.
• Graduate student Kaytlin Encarnacao (Reading, Mass.) ranks fourth in the NEC in the 400-meter dash after today's third-place finish at 56.42 seconds. Encarnacao also placed fourth in the 200-meter dash at 25.31 seconds for the seventh-best mark in the NEC.
• Sophomore Madison Stott (Dartmouth, Mass.) placed eighth in the 400m, finishing in 58.83 seconds, the seventh-fastest time in the conference.
• Junior Grace Tyrrell (Cavendish, Vt.) set a personal record in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 12.81 seconds to place 20th. Tyrrell also placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.29.
• Senior Madison Rousseau (Canton, Mass.) finished with the second-best time in the NEC this spring in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.30 seconds to place second.

MEN'S EVENTS

• Sophomore Keagan Fletcher (Wrentham, Mass.) reached a mark of 1.80m (5' 10.75") in the high jump, tying for sixth place.
• Graduate student Cody DeAngelo (Old Saybrook, Conn.) placed fifth in the pole vault as he hit a mark of 4.46m (14' 7.5") with classmate Jacob Pacheco (Merrimack, N.H.) hitting the same mark. They now rank tied for third in the NEC in the event this spring.
• Senior Parker Hagen (Newport, R.I.) finished seventh in the long jump, reaching a distance of 6.50m (21' 4"), his best mark of the outdoor season this spring.
• Sophomore Joseph Chesney (Cumberland, R.I.) had the second-best discus throw in the NEC, placing fifth with a personal record of 47.30m (155' 2"). He also placed 13th in the shot put with a throw of 13.81m (45' 3.75").
• Sophomore Jon Dougherty (Reading, Mass.) placed ninth in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 49.59 seconds, the eighth-fastest time in the NEC.
• Freshman Miles Burr (Trenton, Maine) had the second-best 100-meter finish in the NEC this spring, placing second with a PR of 10.63 seconds. Burr notched another second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, recording the top time by a freshman in the NEC, fifth-fastest overall, at 21.68 seconds.
• Senior Shea Drugan (Westfield, Mass.) finished in fifth in the 100m dash, setting a new PR of 10.70 seconds, the fourth-fastest time in the conference. Drugan also won the 200m dash with the second-fastest time of his career, 21.61 seconds.
• Sophomore Will Tinkham (Stoughton, Mass.) won his third consecutive 110-meter hurdles, finishing in 14.83 seconds.
• Sophomore Ryan Pereira (Danbury, Conn.) placed 11th in the 5000-meter run, finishing at 15:21.77, the eight-best time in the conference.
