HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior left-hander Jake Lanzer set the tone early for Stonehill, retiring the Dolphins in order in the top of the first. The Skyhawks wasted no time providing run support. Senior Sam Parks opened the bottom half of the inning with a bloop single to left, and two batters later, Cohall launched a letter-high fastball over the center-field wall for a two-run home run, giving Stonehill an early 2-0 lead.

In the third, Stonehill added to its advantage when graduate student Jack Thorbahn came around to score on an opposite-field RBI double by Sengenberger, extending the lead to 3-0.

Le Moyne responded in the top of the fourth, rallying to even the score at 3-3. Sullivan delivered a two-run single, and sophomore Ethan Farina followed with a sacrifice fly to right field to complete the comeback.

The Skyhawks regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth when freshman Brayden Rader scored on a balk after reaching on a single earlier in the frame. Stonehill capped its scoring in the fifth as Cohall crossed the plate for the second time, scoring on a wild pitch by Le Moyne redshirt sophomore AJ Petraitis, giving the Skyhawks a 5-3 cushion.

Le Moyne trimmed the deficit to one in the eighth with a solo home run to right-center by Cannon. The Dolphins threatened again in the top of the ninth, advancing the potential tying run to third base. However, reliever Martin held firm, recording the final outs to preserve the narrow victory 5-4 victory for the Skyhawks
