NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Stonehill men's soccer team fell to Iona College, 3-0, in a midweek non-conference matinee on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Skyhawks looked poised to jump on the board first with sophomore
James Forrest-Hay firing a shot on net but was saved by Gaels goalkeeper Josh Bells in the 19
th minute. Seven minutes later Iona broke up the stalemate finding the back of the net in the 26
th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
When the teams emerged from the locker room at the start of the second half, the Skyhawks kept it a one-goal deficit. Senior
Shane Fonseca rocketed a shot on net midway through the second period, but Bells came up with the save. The Gaels added an insurance goal in the 86
th minute as they earned their first win of the season.
