WEST POINT, N.Y. (September 14, 2025) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team closed out play at the Army Fall Opener in West Point, New York, taking on the Black Knights and Holy Cross in doubles and Sacred Heart in singles action.
Freshman
Benjamin Beaudry and sophomore
Hector Cebrian led the way as double winners for the Skyhawks. Sophomores
Guillermo Bennaton,
Javier Gutierrez, and
Nicolas Arredondo, along with junior
Jacob Borch-Nielsen, also registered victories on the tournament's final day.
In singles play against Sacred Heart, Stonehill collected two wins. Beaudry downed Arya Alla, 6-2, 6-4, on the No. 5 court, while Arredondo earned a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 4 singles over Connor Liona.
The Skyhawks also went 3-3 across two doubles segments with Army and Holy Cross. Borch-Nielsen and Cebrian took down Holy Cross' Colton Parker and Will Donnelly, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles, before Beaudry teamed up with Gutierrez to edge Jake and Luke Prokopis of Sacred Heart, 7-5.
Cebrian capped off his standout weekend with another doubles triumph, pairing with Bennaton to defeat Army's Alan Ton and Jackson Armistead, 6-5, marking the duo's first win of the season.
