WEST POINT, N.Y. (September 14, 2025) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team continued competition at the Army Fall Opener on Saturday, squaring off with Quinnipiac in doubles and Army in singles action.
Sophomores
Nicolas Arredondo and
Hector Cebrian nearly pushed through at No. 2 doubles before falling in a tight 7-6 battle against Quinnipiac's Elias Hoxha and Finn Burridge. Despite dropping three of four matches, the Skyhawks broke through at No. 3 doubles, where freshman
Benjamin Beaudry and sophomore
Javier Gutierrez teamed up for their first win together, topping Csanad Nyaradi and Gaurav Mootha, 7-5.
In singles play, Stonehill split its six matches against Army, finishing 3-3. Beaudry secured his first collegiate double-win day, defeating Preston Achter, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 6 singles after his earlier doubles victory. Junior
Alessandro Munoz added a straight-set win at No. 3 over Marcus Sebastian (6-3, 6-3), while Arredondo delivered at No. 5, handling Rudy Mazzola, 6-0, 6-3.
