SMITHFIELD, R.I. (September 14, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team capped off a strong weekend with nine total victories on the final day of the Bryant Invitational in Smithfield, Rhode Island, Sunday.
The sophomore trio of
Lilah Shallcross,
Piper Remillard, and
Arya Chabria, along with first-year
Iliana deArmas, each posted two wins to lead the Skyhawks. Seniors
Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez and
Anneliese Beltran, junior
Julie Holte, and first-year
Ella Franzese also added victories to round out a balanced team effort.
Chabria opened her day with a straight-set win at No. 5 singles over Bryant's Athmika Sreenivas, 4-1, 4-0, before pairing with Remillard for a 6-3 doubles triumph against Sreenivas and Bella Tan. Remillard earned her second win of the day with a 4-1, 4-1 singles result over Sim Sipahioglu.
Shallcross continued her impressive tournament with a hard-fought singles win against Providence's Alliston Root, 4-3 (7-4), 4-3 (7-4). She later teamed with Holte to edge the Friars' Camila Barrera and Sophie Ahlberg, 7-6 (7-4).
deArmas enjoyed her first collegiate double-win day, defeating Nichols' Erin Helly in singles, 4-1, 4-1, before partnering with Beltran for a 6-3 doubles victory over Helly and Cora Brosch.
Zuluaga and Franzese rounded out the Skyhawks' singles winners, earning respective victories against Helly and Brosch.
