BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (September 21, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team turned in a strong showing over the weekend at the NateRentlas.com Binghamton Tennis Championships with multiple standout performances across both singles and doubles competition, collecting nine singles victories and four doubles wins overall.
In singles play, sophomore
Lilah Shallcross and first-year student
Iliana deArmas each picked up straight-set victories early, while sophomore
Arya Chabria put together an impressive run by winning two matches, including a dominant 6-1, retired result against Le Moyne's Charlotte Klein and a 6-4, 5-0 (ret.) decision against Wagner's Hannah Fitzgerald.
Sophomore
Piper Remillard added to the success with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory over Mercyhurst's Mollie Gray, while senior
Anneliese Beltran battled back to defeat LIU's Beatriz Verdial in three sets, 5-7, 6-0, 10-7. Senior
Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez also secured a singles win, topping Nadjema Morille of Chicago State by retirement.
On the doubles side, Stonehill produced consistent results led by the pairing of Chabria and Remillard, who went unbeaten on the weekend with three victories, including a 7-5 win over Saint Francis. The duo of
Julie Holte and Shallcross earned a 6-4 win over Mercyhurst, while Beltran and deArmas chipped in with a 6-3 victory against New Haven.
