HOW IT HAPPENED
The Skyhawks set the tone and controlled the game early. They looked poised to break the 0-0 stalemate earning a corner kick in the 25th minute but Alex Kuzmich rocketed shot off the defense. A minute later, Jack Kampe's bicycle kick nearly found the back of the net but it escaped wide.

On the other side of the field, the Midshipmen also had an ample opportunity to score, earning a corner in the 31st minute, but Stonehill was able to keep them off the.

Transitioning down the field, senior Owen Burke fired a shot from the top of the 18-yard board to the lower left corner of the net. Navy goalkeeper Robert Eaton was able to corral it and fellow senior Shane Fonseca was right there to knock it in for the game-winner.
