HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a tale of two halves for the Skyhawks. Trailing by eight, 26-18, at the break, Stonehill swung the game the opposite direction opening the second half with a 9-2 run to pull within a possession, 30-27.

Momentum was on the side of the Skyhawks. They grabbed their first lead of the game midway through the second half. Senior forward Ethan Meuser, who was making his first start of the season, ripped down and offensive rebound then found sophomore guard Trenton Ruth at the perimeter to take a 36-34 lead.

The game remained a one-two possession for the remainder of the contest. When Bernie Blunt knocked two a pair of free the throws with 26 seconds left, it appeared as if the Lakers were going to get their third conference win. But looks can be deceiving.

Junior guard Davante Hackett drove through the lane with 11 seconds on the clock to tie up the score. Hackett put the Skyhawks on his back and carried them into the overtime period, netting six points in the final five minutes to guide the Skyhawks to the win.
