Webster Posts First Career Double-Double with 22 Points, 11 Rebounds; Paquette Adds 21 Points in 79-54 Win Over Le Moyne

EASTON, Mass. (Jan. 31, 2026) – The Stonehill women's basketball team defeated Le Moyne by a score of 79-54 on Alumnae Day at Merkert Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

The win improves the Skyhawks to 8-13 overall (4-6 NEC), while the Dolphins fall to 5-18 (3-7 NEC).

STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Julia Webster, who led the way with 14 points and eight rebounds in the first half, finished with a career-high and Stonehill season-high 22 points. She also grabbed 15  boards, also a career-best and Skyhawks season-high for her first double-double. Webster was also 11-of-16 from the field.


     
  • Brooke Paquette scored 21 points, draining a career-high five three-pointers and had six rebounds.

  • Breana Delaney dished out seven assists, tying a career-high, and Ella Pelletier netted 11 points with five rebounds.
     
  • Stonehill had a season-high 27 assists as a team, and shot 47.8 percent (32-of-67) for the game, including 44.4 percent from beyond the arc (8-of-18). The Skyhawks also only made eight turnovers, a season-low.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
On Alumnae Day at Merkert Gymnasium, the teams traded baskets for much of the first part of the opening frame, with Le Moyne holding a 14-13 lead at the first media timeout at 2:41. The Skyhawks heated up late in the frame, as Brooke Paquette nailed two three-pointers to pull Stonehill within one, 20-19, through 10 minutes of play.

In the second, Stonehill opened up a 40-26 lead late in the quarter with the Skyhawks going on an 10-0 run over the last 5:11 of the period. Overall, Stonehill outscored Le Moyne, 21-6, in the second. Julia Webster finished the half with 14 points and eight rebounds, and the Skyhawks shot 51.5 percent from the field (17-of-33).

Stonehill remained in control in the third quarter, as Webster tied her career-high for points with an offensive board and put back jumper, making it 52-33 with 6:52 remaining. Webster's rebound on that play also gave her 10 rebounds for a new career-high and clinched her first career double-double.



The Skyhawks kept moving the ball well throughout the remainder of the second half, as Stonehill finished with 27 assists, a season-high for the team, while only turning the ball over on eight occasions, a season low. The Skyhawks also held the Dolphins scoreless for the final 6:43 of the game.

Stonehill (8-13, 4-6 NEC) will remain home to host FDU (19-4, 10-0 NEC) on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.
