EASTON, Mass. (Feb. 5, 2026) – The Stonehill women's basketball team dropped a home NEC contest to FDU by a score of 80-49 at Merkert Gymnasium Thursday evening.
The Skyhawks fall to 8-14 (4-7 NEC), while the Knights move to 20-4 (11-0 NEC).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
In the first, the Knights opened a 14-6 lead just past the 3:00 mark of the opening frame and led, 22-11, through the first stanza. Later in the half, the Skyhawks traded baskets with FDU through the first few minutes of the second, but the Knights still led, 31-18, at the media timeout at the 4:44 mark. At the half, the Skyhawks trailed by a score of 44-20.
Stonehill shot the ball better in the second half, hitting 12-of-27 attempts (.444), but the Knights continued to pull away, holding on, 80-49.

Stonehill (8-14, 4-7 NEC) will remain at Merkert Gymnasium to take on LIU (14-8, 9-2 NEC) on Play 4 Kay on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
