PROVIDENCE, R.I. (January 31, 2026) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team was swept, 7-0, by non-conference opponent Brown University Saturday evening at the Pizzitola Sports Center. With the result, the Skyhawks fell to 0-4 overall, while the Bears improved to 3-0 on the year.

Julie Holte and senior
Anneliese Beltran battled on the No. 1 court, dropping a narrow 7-6 decision to Dani Ben-Abraham and Hannah Shen. Brown clinched the doubles point with a 6-0 victory over sophomores

Lilah Shallcross at No. 2 doubles.
Despite dropping all six singles matches, Shallcross and first-year student
Iliana deArmas showed strong fight at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, respectively. Shallcross faced Francesca Saroli at No. 3 singles, narrowly dropping the first set, 6-4, before falling 6-1 in the second. DeArmas battled Anne Moody at No. 6 singles but ultimately fell by identical 6-3 scores.
