MANCHESTER, N.H. (January 9, 2026) – The Stonehill College women's hockey team earned a decisive 4–1 victory over New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) rival Saint Anselm College on Friday night at Sullivan Arena. With the win, the Skyhawks improved to 9–11–1 overall and 9–5–1 in conference play, while the Hawks fell to 11–9–1 overall and 11–3–1 against league opponents.

- Sophomore Reagan Whynot and senior Bailey Feeney paced the Skyhawks offensively, each recording two points on the night.
- Whynot finished with a goal and an assist, while Feeney notched a pair of goals for the first time this season.
- First-year Maddie Bibeau added her third goal of the campaign, while classmate's Payton Palsa and Summer Combe along with junior Peyton Wise and senior Gracie Sacca each posted assists on the night.

How It Happened
Stonehill wasted no time jumping out to an early advantage, striking for three goals in the opening 20 minutes to take a commanding lead into the first intermission. Whynot opened the scoring at the 6:27 mark of the first period, blasting a one-timer off a feed from Sacca that rang off the pipe and into the back of the net.
Just over five minutes later, Whynot made a strong play along the boards in the defensive zone before sending an up-ice pass to Feeney, who buried her first of two goals on the night on a partial breakaway. Bibeau capped the first-period scoring at 16:43, pouncing on a loose puck in the crease and backhanding it across the goal line for her third goal of the season. The three-goal outburst marked Stonehill's highest-scoring first period since netting three against Saint Michael's on November 2, 2024.
The middle frame saw both teams trade power-play opportunities, but the respective penalty-kill units—along with strong goaltending from Caron for Stonehill and Kayla Czukoski for Saint Anselm—kept the score unchanged heading into the third period.
Saint Anselm came out strong to start the final frame, outshooting Stonehill 15–4 over the opening 10 minutes. Caron stood tall in net, however, as the Skyhawks' defensive unit battled through sustained pressure. Down the stretch, Stonehill regained momentum in the offensive zone and sealed the win when Feeney netted her second goal of the night into an empty net at the 19:20 mark, securing the 4–1 victory.
