LAKEVILLE, Mass. (February 10, 2026) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to BYU Tuesday afternoon at the Lakeville Athletic Club. With the result, the Skyhawks moved to 3-3 overall, while the Cougars remained unbeaten at 5-0 on the season.
BYU secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Junior
Alexis Chastang and sophomore
Guillermo Bennaton battled Tygen Goldammer and TJ Wells to a narrow 7-5 decision at No. 3 doubles before Yubel Ubri and Caden Hasler clinched the point for the Cougars with a 6-4 win over sophomore

Stonehill earned a pair of points in singles play with wins at the No. 2 and No. 5 spots. At No. 2 singles, junior
Alessandro Munoz rebounded after dropping the opening set, 6-1, and earned the win by retirement over Ubri to put the Skyhawks on the board. Beaudry followed with a hard-fought three-set victory at No. 5 singles, defeating Alex Edmonston 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 to notch his sixth win of the season.
Despite dropping the remaining four singles matches, Stonehill battled throughout the lineup, with several tightly contested sets, before ultimately falling by a final score of 5-2.
