DEWITT, N.Y. (February 14, 2026) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team fell to NEC foe Le Moyne College, 5-2, on Saturday night. With the result, the Skyhawks dropped to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while the Dolphins improved to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference.
Le Moyne secured the doubles point by sweeping the No. 1 and No. 3 courts. Junior
Jacob Borch-Nielsen and sophomore
Hector Cebrian battled on the No. 1 court against Carlo Zucchini and Navya Verma but fell 7-5, while Callum Matthew and Lorenzo Bortolaso clinched the point for the Dolphins with a 6-4 win over sophomore
Guillermo Bennaton and junior
Alexis Chastang at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action, Cebrian and freshman
Benjamin Beaudry earned the Skyhawks' only points of the night. Cebrian defeated Luke Hoyland 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) at No. 3 singles for his fourth win of the season, and Beaudry overcame Gabriel Segubiense in a thrilling three-set match, 3-6, 6-2, 12-10, at No. 5 singles.
Meanwhile, Bennaton was edged out by Zucchini at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-4, and Borch-Nielsen dropped a tight second set to Bortolaso after falling 6-1 in the first, 7-6 (9-7). Matthew and Verma secured the final wins for the Dolphins at No. 2 and No. 6 singles, completing the 5-2 match victory.
