EASTON, Mass. (Feb. 14, 2026) – The Stonehill men's basketball team dropped a 68-57 decision to Wagner College in their return home following a four-game road stand on Saturday afternoon.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior guard Chas Stinson led the Skyhawks with 18 points, including knocking 8-of-9 down from the free-throw line.
- Sophomore guard Hermann Koffi followed up with 10 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Skyhawks came out of the gate strong building themselves a quick five-point lead. Senior guard
Rex Sunderland played tenacious defense and picked the pocket of Jaden Baker and took it back down the court for the fast break lay-up.
Stonehill maintained the lead for the majority of the contest. After sophomore guard
Hermann Koffi put the Skyhawks up three with the traditional three-point play, the Seahawks end the half on an 8-3 run to head into the locker room with the two-point 26-24 lead.
Wagner's momentum carried into the second half as they quickly made it a two-possession game. Their lead increased to as many as 20 with just under five minutes to play. But the Skyhawks mounted a comeback with a 12-0 run the final in the final three minutes on the back of senior guard
Chas Stinson.
After making the quick fast-break lay-up to cut the deficit to nine, Stinson picked off the inbound pass from Travis Gray and cut into the Seahawk lead even more, knocking down a pair from the charity stripe. It was a bit too late as Wagner was able to hold to the win.
