SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Feb. 21, 2026) – The Stonehill women's basketball team dropped a road game at Le Moyne by the score of 53-49 at Ted Grant Court Saturday afternoon.
The loss moves the Skyhawks to 10-16 (6-9 NEC), while the Dolphins to go 10-18 (8-7 NEC).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Brooke Paquette paced the Stonehill offense with 14 points, as she now has 993 points in her career. Paquette also made two steals and dished out two assists.
- Ella Pelletier tied her career-high with 11 rebounds, adding nine points and three assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Breana Delaney scored three early baskets, but Le Moyne led, 11-8, with three minutes remaining in the opening quarter. With time winding down in the first,
Ella Pelletier drained a three-pointer to pull the Skyhawks within three, 16-13. Early in the second, the Dolphins stretched its lead to 22-13, but the Skyhawks responded with a 5-0 run late in the quarter to cut the deficit to 26-22.
Within seconds of the halftime horn,
Brooke Paquette buried a three-pointer to get Stonehill within a point, 26-25, at the break. Delaney led all players with nine points in the first half, while Pelletier had a game-high six rebounds through 20 minutes of play.
In the third, Le Moyne held a 35-31 lead at the media timeout at 4:44, and the teams remained close for the remainder of the frame, with the Dolphins holding a 40-35 edge into the fourth. Midway through the final quarter, Paquette hit two foul shots to make it a one-point game, 46-45, with Le Moyne on top. Moments later, Paquette stole the ball and scored on a layup on the break, giving Stonehill a 47-46 lead with 3:53 to go.
Pelletier hit a tough layup with just over one minute remaining, but the Dolphins responded with a three-pointer to retake the lead, 51-49, with 56.1 seconds left.
