EASTON, Mass. (Feb. 21, 2026) – The Stonehill women's lacrosse team picked up its second-straight victory, as the Skyhawks toppled Merrimack by a score of 14-15 at W.B. Mason Stadium Saturday morning.
The win moves Stonehill to 2-2 overall (0-0 NEC), while Merrimack slips to 0-4 (0-0 MAAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Stonehill held Merrimack scoreless in the first quarter and owned a 3-0 lead through the first 15 minutes. The Skyhawks upped its advantage to 4-0 early in the second, and the defense kept the Warriors off the scoreboard until 9:11 in the second. Later in the frame, the Skyhawks added three more goals to carry a 7-2 lead into the half.
In the second half, Stonehill continued to pull away, leading 10-3 after three quarters.
Nina Tremonte recorded six of her nine saves in the fourth quarter, as the Skyhawks remained in control late in the contest.
Stonehill owned the edge in shots, 30-20, ground balls, 22-14, and caused turnovers, 14-9. The Skyhawks were also 22-of-25 on clear attempts.

Stonehill (2-2, 0-0 NEC) will now host Bryant (1-2, 0-0 America East) to W.B. Mason Stadium on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m.
