SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Feb. 25, 2026) – The Stonehill women's lacrosse team dropped a road game at Bryant by a score of 17-9 at the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center Wednesday evening.
The loss moves the Skyhawks to 2-3 overall (0-0 NEC), while the Bulldogs now stand at 3-2 (0-0 America East).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Stonehill opened the scoring when
Meaghan Fealy found the back of the net with an unassisted goal at the 14:06 mark of the first quarter. Following a goal off a free-position attempt by
Natalie Coutu, the Bulldogs responded with back-to-back goals to take a 3-2 lead with 9:21 left in the opening frame.
Emma Kail added another goal late in the quarter for the Skyhawks, but the Bulldogs owned a 5-3 edge on the scoreboard through the first 15 minutes.
Early in the second, Coutu found
Sophia Gouveia for a score to cut the deficit to one, 5-4, at 12:58, but Bryant answered with consecutive goals to go back up by three, 7-4. Stonehill netted the last two goals of the half, coming off the sticks of
Grace Murphy and
Taylor Green on player-up opportunities, as the Skyhawks stayed within three, 10-7, at the break.
In the third, Murphy found the back of the net for her second goal of the game at the 7:47 mark, but the Bulldogs led, 13-8, by the end of the quarter. Late in the fourth, Green tallied her second goal of the game for Stonehill.

Stonehill (2-3, 0-0 NEC) will next host New Hampshire (1-3, 0-0 America East) on Wednesday, March 4 at 3 p.m. That game will be Stonehill's first of five contests broadcast on NESN Nation. The game will also be on NEC Front Row.
