Highlights
How It Happened
Following a hitless first two and a half innings, Bryant opened the scoring in the bottom of the third. Brandyn Durand got things started when he stole home after reaching base earlier in the inning with a single through the left side. Charlie Saul then belted a two-run home run over the left field wall, giving the Bulldogs a 3–0 lead heading into the fourth inning.
Stonehill got on the board in the top of the sixth to cut its deficit to two. LeClair led off the inning with a single into center field before advancing to third on a passed ball and a sacrifice bunt from Parks. After senior
Sean McGee struck out, Lundquist stepped up and blooped an RBI single into shallow center field, plating LeClair from third and making the score 3–1.
However, Bryant responded immediately in the bottom of the sixth with four runs to open a commanding six-run lead. Durand delivered a two-run double, and Carlos Irizarry followed with a two-run single up the middle to account for the Bulldogs' scoring in the frame.
The Skyhawks were unable to chip away at the deficit, and after two additional runs from Bryant in the eighth inning, Stonehill fell by a final score of 9–1.
