BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – A six-time NEC Prime Performer, junior guard
Davante Hackett was named the Influxer/NEC Player of the Week as announced by the League on Monday afternoon.
Averaging 27.3 points per game, Hackett became the first player in Stonehill's Division I history to record 40 points in a 103-77 victory over Saint Francis last Thursday evening. Coming off a career single-game high 30-point performance against Le Moyne, Hackett netted 26 points with six three-pointers in the first half against the Red Flash. He added another 14 in the second half as he came one three-pointer shy of tying the program's record for threes in a game, finishing Thursday night with eight.
It was the first time since February 16, 2019 a Skyhawk reached the 40-point plateau when Will Moreton dropped 40 on Franklin Pierce.
Hackett closed out the week with 15 points against Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon where he was one of four Skyhawks in double figures.
