Parks Records 200th Hit as Baseball Falls in Series Finale to Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (May 3, 2026) – The Stonehill College baseball team dropped its series finale to NEC rival Le Moyne College, 9-2, Sunday afternoon at Dick Rockwell Field. With the result, the Skyhawks fell to 19-23 overall and 15-9 in conference play, while the Dolphins improved to 16-23 overall and 16-11 in league action.
 
Highlights
  • Graduate student Sam Parks surpassed 200 career hits, finishing 2-for-5 with a run scored
  • Senior Michael Rickert extended his on-base streak to 30 games and recorded his 12th multi-hit performance, going 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored.
  • Junior John Bureau pushed his hitting streak to eight games, while classmates Ryan LeClair and Nathan Kearney extended their on-base streaks to 37 and 34 games, respectively.
  • Junior Dan Lang made his eighth start of the season, while sophomore Alex Cook logged his team-leading 18th appearance of the year.
 
How It Happened
Stonehill struck first in the series finale, as Parks led off the game with his 200th career hit before coming around to score on an RBI groundout by Kearney in the top of the first. Le Moyne answered immediately in the bottom half to even the score at one.

After a scoreless second inning, the Dolphins took control with a three-run third to grab the lead. Stonehill cut into the deficit in the fourth when Bureau delivered an RBI single to right, scoring Rickert.

Despite pulling within two, the Skyhawks were unable to mount a comeback, as Le Moyne added five more runs over the final innings to secure the 9-2 victory in the series finale.
