Northeast 10 Conference Hall of Fame Announcement
EASTON, Mass. (June 23, 2026) – Former Stonehill women's lacrosse standout Carissa Medeiros has been inducted into the Northeast 10 Conference Hall of Fame, the league recently announced.
The league recognized a class of eight inductees for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions during their time in the NE10.
The Class of 2026 consists of seven different institutions and four different sports: lacrosse, swimming and diving, basketball, soccer, It consists of seven former individual student-athletes and one team - with one institution (Le Moyne) represented by multiple inductees.
Started in 2006, the NE10 Hall of Fame honors those who have made significant contributions to the Conference, while preserving and promoting the history of the league since its inception in 1980. As of 2026, the Hall has 160 individuals and 30 teams that have been inducted.
Medeiros, Stonehill class of 2003, has been the head coach at Southern New Hampshire since 2021. At Stonehill, Medeiros developed into one of the top goalkeepers in NCAA Division II history during that time. The 2003 IWLCA Division II Goalkeeper of the Year and first team All-American was a three-time NE10 All-Conference selection over her career, helping to lead the Skyhawks to a 45-15 record, three NE10 titles, a trio of NCAA tournament appearances, a national runner-up showing in 2002 and the program's first National Championship in 2003. The New Bedford, Mass., native, still ranks second in program history with 448 career saves and a .587 career save percentage, while her 6.15 career goals-against average also places her second and stands as the fourth best mark in NCAA Division II history. Medeiros was inducted into the Stonehill Athletics Hall of Fame as a player in 2019, after previously going in as a coach in 2011 with the '05 squad as an assistant coach.
Medeiros began her coaching career as an assistant coach with the Skyhawks from 2004-06. During that time with her alma mater, Medeiros and Stonehill captured three NE10 crowns and made three trips to the NCAA postseason, including in 2005 when they went a perfect 21-0 and won the NCAA Division II National Championship. Over the course of those three seasons, the program was 51-6, including 30-0 in NE10 play.
