BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (Aug. 24, 2026) – Freshman goalkeeper Killian Doherty reeled in the first NEC Player and Rookie of the Week honors of the season announced by the League on Monday afternoon.

In his first two games of his collegiate career, Doherty registered both game-winning goals against URI and Northeastern. Against the Rams, Doherty connected with senior Chris Hines on the Skyhawks first goal of the game then scored the eventual game-winner in the 68^th minute.

Three days later against a tough Northeastern team, Doherty found the back of the net three seconds before halftime for his second goal in as many games.

Sophomore goalkeeper Felix van der Hagen earned NEC Prime Performer accolades after picking up both wins and registering 15 saves.
