EASTON, Mass. – The Stonehill men's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision to non-conference UMass early Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a physical contest from the opening kick. The Skyhawks pressured the Minutemen throughout first 45 minutes, but the two teams entered half time with the score gridlocked at zero.
UMass was able to break through in the 55
th minute, but Stonehill held their ground defensively. Sophomore goalkeeper Feliz van der Hagen came up with a huge save in net in the 67
th minute to keep it a one score game.
The Skyhawks made a push late in the game with less than 15 minutes to play. Freshman
Hayden Xhokaxhiu looked poised to score the equalizer in the 78
th minute but Dean Linden came up with the save.
