Stonehill College

Matt LeVangie returns to theStonehill sidelines for his third season as an assistant men'sbasketball coach. During his first year, LeVangie helped guide theSkyhawks to a Northeast-10 Conference regular season title and the#1 seed in the Northeast Region entering the NCAA tournament.

Prior to Stonehill, LeVangie served as the associate head coach atLasell College, where he helped lead the Lasers to back-to-
back Great Northeast Athletic Conference titles and a 2008 NCAAtournament appearance. LeVangie has also had coaching stops at theUniversity of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., and SuffolkUniversity. He was a four-year player at the University of MaryWashington and served as team captain during his senior season.

"Matt grew a tremendous amount as acoach during his first year with our program," comments head coachDavid McLaughlin. "He brings a solid amount of experience as hisrole continues to expand on our staff. Matt is instrumental in ourself-scouting and computer editing. He also plays a key part in ourrecruiting and opponent scouting. His work ethic and passion forthe game fit in well with our program."

A native of Scituate, Mass.,LeVangie has a Bachelors of History and a Masters of Education,both from the University of Mary Washington.
