Mike Quinn isentering his third year as an assistant coach with the StonehillCollege men's basketball program.

Quinn joins Stonehill following astandout four year career at Northeast-10 Conference rival BentleyUniversity, where he was a four-year starter for head coach JayLawson. Quinn was part of a nationally-ranked Falcons squad thatcaptured three NE-10 regular season titles and made four NCAATournament appearances, reaching the Final Four on two occasions.He was part of Bentley's 2007-08 squad that posted a program-record34-1 overall record, including a perfect 22-0 clip in NE-10 play,en route to the NCAA Division II semifinal round.

"Our program is very fortunate withthe addition of Mike Quinn as a full-time assistant coach," saidMcLaughlin, who will be entering his ninth season with the program."As our past teams played against Mike, it was evident that he hada high basketball IQ and great feel for the game on both endsof the floor. His leadership qualities were evident as well, andthe way he carried himself commanded respect. Combine thiswith his experience and knowledge of the Northeast-10, as well as avery solid work ethic, and we are getting a tremendous addition toour staff and wonderful resource for our currentstudent-athletes."

In helping lead Bentley to a fouryear record of 110-23, Quinn finished his career ranked first inprogram history with 133 games started and 4,299 minutes played. Heled the Falcons in minutes each of his last three seasons and alsoranks second in program history for career games played (133),third in steals (190) and eighth in steals per game (1.4). Quinnbecame the 48th Falcon in program history to score1,000 career points, finishing with 1,062 – good for38th all-time.

Quinn gained valuable coaching andadministrative skills while serving as assistant camp director atthe Bentley Basketball Camp the summers of 2005 through 2010.

A native of Oakdale, Conn., Quinnrecently earned his Master of Science degree in financial planningfrom Bentley's McCallum Graduate School of Business in May. He isalso a 2010 cum laude graduate of Bentley with a Bachelor ofScience degree in finance. Quinn was a member of the University'sStudent-Athlete Advisory Committee and earned NE-10 AcademicAll-Conference honors four times.
