Patrick Lee is entering his second season asvolunteer assistant coach for the Stonehill men's basketballprogram following a prolific playing career for head coachDavid McLaughlin.

Lee was part of a senior class atStonehill that graduated with a program-best four year record of92-31 (.848), four straight NCAA Tournament bids and a pair ofNE-10 championships. He was named the Northeast-10 Defensive Playerof the Year and All-NE-10 third team selection as a senior and alsoearned All-Tournament team honors at both the NCAA Division II EastRegional and NE-10 Tournament. Lee helped lead the Skyhawks totheir first NE-10 Tournament Championship in 23 years last Marchbefore going on to capture the second East Regional crown inprogram history en route to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight wherethey advanced to the national semifinal round.

“I am both thrilled as wellas very fortunate that Patrick has decided to join our stafffollowing his very stellar career at Stonehill," said McLaughlin."His combination of leadership skills, basketball IQ, playingexperience, and winning mentality will translate very well in hisnew position. He is someone that our players will be able to lookup to as well as use as a barometer of how to approach things witha winning attitude. Patrick comes from a basketball family and weare excited he will begin to extend that tradition within theStonehill Family.”

Lee played 84 games over his fouryear career, the last two as a starter, and finished with 892points and 694 rebounds. He was named the Fr. John McCarthy, CSC,Leadership Award at the Stonehill athletic department's annualSenior Student-Athlete Awards Dinner in May. Lee had anotherhighlight moment over his career when his game-winningthree-pointer in overtime from just inside halfcourt at Le Moyne inJanuary 2011 was featured as the "Top Play" on ESPN'sSportsCenter.

Lee, a native of Fayetteville,N.Y., graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in psychology fromStonehill in May. His father, Michael Lee was a collegiate coach atLe Moyne from 1979-93.
