RINDGE, N.H. (March 4, 2020) – Stonehill College wrapped a 13-goal run around halftime on its way to a 17-5 victory over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse action at Sodexo Field this afternoon.

How it Happened
- Stonehill answered Franklin Pierce's lone goal of the first half to draw within one (2-1) five minutes into the game with a run of ten-straight goals to close out the opening frame and take a 12-1 lead.
- Junior Shannon Hughes scored all four of her goals consecutively over the final 20 minutes of the first half to finish off Stonehill's first half scoring.
- Seniors Jennifer Wheaton and Kaity Healey each netted three goals for Stonehill in the first half, while Healey added an assist.
- Healey scored three-straight goals after sophomore Savannah Ernst scored Franklin Pierce's lone goal of the first half that cut Stonehill's lead in half after Wheaton struck twice in the opening five minutes.
- Stonehill extended its run to 13-straight goals by netting the first three scores of the second half. Rudden assisted on two of the goals as Wheaton, junior Olivia Pino and freshman Kayla Conway all scored within a four-minute span to give the Skyhawks a 15-1 lead.
- Senior Sarah Waldrep broke up the run with a goal for Franklin Pierce with 18:42 to play, before Stonehill tacked on goals from sophomore Kendall Fressle and Conway three minutes apart for a 17-2 cushion.
Noteworthy
- Hughes's four-goal game is a season-high to follow up her three-goal output at Adelphi in Saturday's season-opener. She also added three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Wheaton added a season-best five points with four goals and an assist.
- Conway netted the first two goals of her collegiate career, while Rudden dished out her first five collegiate assists.
- Senior Bailey Grant posted seven saves, while conceding three goals over the first 54:04 in goal for Stonehill, before giving way to junior Kaleigh Wright for two stops over the final 5:56.
