How it Happened

  • Stonehill trailed by three in each of the third and fourth quarters before scoring the last five goals of the contest over the final five minutes to secure its fifth win in six games against a nationally-ranked opponent so far this spring.
  • Junior Lydia Rudden paced the Stonehill attack with eight points, netting three goals, including the go-ahead marker with two minutes on the clock, and dishing out five assists. She spurred the Skyhawks game-deciding run with two goals and two assists, having a hand in four of Stonehill's final five goals.
  • Pace held a 5-4 lead after a quarter of play, behind three goals from sophomore Angelina Porcello and a pair by senior Aleya Corretjer.
  • Juniors Victoria Butler and Kayla Conway scored 30-seconds apart midway through the second quarter to push Stonehill back in front with 6:34 remaining in the second quarter, but junior Jolie Urraro sent the game into halftime deadlocked (6-6), assisted by Corretjer, less than a minute later.
  • Butler opened the second half scoring to nose Stonehill back in front less than two minutes into the third quarter, but Pace followed with the next four goals, including a pair by Urraro, to snare the first three goal lead of the day by the Setters after Urraro's third goal of the game with 8:47 to play in the third.
  • Stonehill closed the frame with three-straight goals from three different players to pull even (10-10) after junior Abigail Moynihan's first of two second half goals with 65-seconds to play in the third.
  • Pace opened the fourth quarter with three-straight goals, including two by senior Kayla Conway, to grab its second three goal cushion after Urraro's fourth of the night with 6:38 to play.
  • Rudden sparked Stonehill's run of five unanswered goals to close out the win with two goals and two assists in the final 4:49, starting by setting up sophomore Molly Mae Hughes' lone goal of the night and then scoring her second of three goals to pull the Skyhawks back within a goal with 4:15 remaining.
  • Senior preseason All-American Emma Sullivan scored her lone goal of the night to knot the score (13-13) with 3:24 to go, before Rudden pushed Stonehill back in front (14-13) with her third goal of the day with two minutes left.
  • Pace won the ensuing draw, but Sullivan caused her fifth turnover of the night and Moynihan potted her second goal of the game to seal the win with eight seconds remaining.
