Box Score DELAND, Fla. (Dec. 19, 2025) – The Stonehill women's basketball team had four players reach double figures in scoring, as the Skyhawks downed Bethune-Cookman by a score of 74-68 at the Hatter Classic Friday afternoon.
With the win, Stonehill improves to 4-5 (0-0 NEC), while the Wildcats slip to 2-9 (0-0 SWAC).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Brooke Paquette shot 6-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc to finish with a game-high 18 points.
- Julia Webster, who was 7-fo-12 from the floor, tallied eight points in the first quarter and had 10 points at the half en route to a career-best 17-point performance.
- Emma Arcà recorded a career-high with seven assists.
- Breana Delaney scored a season-best 13 points, and Ellia Pelletier, who was 9-of-9 from the free-throw line, added a career-high with 17 points, giving Stonehill four players to reach double digits in scoring. Pelletier also had a career-best eight rebounds.
- The Skyhawks went 19-of-23 (.826) from the foul line as a team for the game.
- Friday's game marked the first meeting between Stonehill and Bethune-Cookman.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Skyhawks jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead to take command early, and Stonehill owned an 11-8 advantage at the first media timeout.
Julia Webster finished the first quarter with eight points, as Stonehill doubled up Bethune-Cookman, 22-11, through 10 minutes of action.
In the second, the Wildcats cut the deficit to five, 29-24, at the 6:04 mark.
Emma Arcà registered five assists in the first half, a new career-best for a game, as Stonehill carried a 33-29 lead into the break. Webster had 10 points in the first half for the Skyhawks.
As the game moved into the second half, the Wildcats grabbed their first lead midway through the third, 39-37, and carried a 49-48 edge into the final stanza.
Brooke Paquette hit her third 3-pointer of the game early in the fourth, giving the Skyhawks a 53-49 lead. Following the final media timeout and with the score tied, 59-59,
Ella Pelletier and Webster converted back-to-back conventional three-point plays, as the Skyhawks went on top, 65-59, with just over two minutes to play.

Stonehill (4-5, 0-0 NEC) will remain at the Hatter Classic and will face Stetson (6-3. 0-0 Atlantic Sun), the host, tomorrow Saturday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m.
