How It Happened
In a first period that featured nine Saint Michael's penalty minutes — including a major drawn by senior
Brianna Walkom — Stonehill capitalized twice on the skater advantage. Feeney opened the scoring by picking the top corner at 8:47 for her second goal of the season, before Achtyl redirected a Feeney shot past McKenna Dans at 18:08 to record her 10th tally of the campaign.
Stonehill wasted little time adding to its lead early in the second, as Kenmore pounced on a loose puck in the crease just 1:25 into the frame, converting on a rebound from an initial Feeney attempt for her second goal of the year. The Skyhawks continued to roll throughout the period, with Achtyl striking again at 8:02 and Slocum finding the back of the net at 14:08, sending Stonehill to the locker room with a commanding five-goal advantage.
Slocum capped the offensive eruption 4:22 into the third, taking an up-ice feed from Whynot and firing a wrist shot past Dans for her second of the game — marking her second multi-goal performance of the season. Stonehill maintained pressure throughout the remainder of regulation and closed out the night with a 6–0 shutout victory.
