GENEVA, Ohio. (February 20, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's swimming team continued their strong performance at the 2025 Northeast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on the second day of competition at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, setting three new program records.

The Skyhawks' 200-yard freestyle relay team recorded a season-best time of 1:38.46, securing sixth place in the event. The relay squad, consisting of junior Taylor Belanger, Kristy Barry, sophomore Grace Idowu, and first-year Elizabeth Weston, set a new program record, surpassing the previous mark by 0.80 seconds, which had been established at the Harold Anderson Invitational on November 17, 2023.

Barry continued her outstanding performance at the Championships, finishing second in the 200-yard individual medley B-Final with a program-record time of 2:08.24. This time surpassed her own previous record of 2:09.29 set at the 2024 NEC Championships.

In the 500-yard freestyle C-Final, sophomore Isabella Rodriguez broke the school record set by first-year teammate Maddie Gomez, posting a time of 5:18.70 to surpass Gomez's mark of 5:19.26.

Idowu capped off the program-record performances on day two with a standout performance in the 50-yard freestyle preliminary round. Clocking in at 24.05 seconds, Idowu broke her own record by 0.14 seconds, previously set at the 2024 NEC Championships.

After 15 events, Stonehill has accumulated 85.5 points in the meet. Central Connecticut State currently leads the overall team standings with 379.5 points following day two of competition.

Stonehill will continue competition on Day Three of the NEC Swimming and Diving Championships tomorrow morning in Geneva, Ohio, with the preliminary round of the 100-yard butterfly at 10 AM.
