EASTON, Mass. (July 9, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's swimming program, led by head coach
Matthew Distler, has been recognized as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the seventh time in program history. The prestigious honor is awarded to programs that achieve a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher during the semester.
CSCAA Spring Scholar All-America Teams
In just its fifth season since being established as Stonehill's 22nd varsity athletic program in September 2019, the Skyhawks posted an impressive 3.43 team GPA for the Spring 2025 semester. That mark ranked third among Northeast Conference (NEC) programs to receive CSCAA Scholar All-America Team recognition, joining fellow NEC institutions Howard, Saint Francis, and Central Connecticut State among the 763 teams honored across 432 institutions nationwide.
Stonehill's 2025 roster featured 18 student-athletes, 14 of which earned a GPA above 3.0, including seven who posted a GPA above 3.75.
Stonehill women's swimming closed out its season with a sixth-place finish at Northeast Conference Championships in Geneva, Ohio back in February and have its sights set on the 2025-26 season.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
