STORRS, Conn. (March 1, 2025) – The Stonehill College Equestrian team finished third overall in the team standings at the University of Connecticut home show at the Horsebarn Hill in Storrs, Connecticut Saturday afternoon. The Skyhawk saw eight individual top three finishes, including one first-place finish in the open flat event.
Highlights
- Senior Emma Worster earned the Skyhawks' lone first-place finish on the day, finishing atop the podium in the open flat event.
- Senior Madeline Ahern finished as the runner-up in the open fences event while finishing fourth overall in open flats.
- First-year students Shay Callanan and Cadence Scheer, as well as junior Rosalie Martin, rounded out the Skyhawks' top three finishers on the day.
- First-year student Elizabeth Carreiro took home a pair of top-three finishes in both the intermediate flat and fences events.
- First-year students Nora Fitzgerald and Maddy Clark each made their collegiate debuts for the Skyhawks.
- Fitzgerald finished top-five in both the limit flat and fences events, while Clark competed in the pre-novice division.
- Junior Hannah Tetreault and first-year student Shannon Murray capped off the Stonehill riders in the limit flat and fence events, respectively.
