HOW IT HAPPENED
Bryant wasted no time setting the tone in the non-conference midweek matchup, as Zyons launched the first pitch of the game over the right field wall for a leadoff solo home run. Moments later, after Noriega singled to the right-center gap, redshirt sophomore
Gavin Greger (Bristol, Connecticut) drove in the Bulldogs' second run of the inning with an RBI double down the left field line.
The Bulldogs continued to apply pressure offensively, adding 10 more runs over the next five innings to build a commanding 12–0 lead entering the seventh. Bryant's offensive surge was powered by a balanced attack that featured eight RBI singles—three from Wyers, two from Durand, and one each by
Charlie Saul, Noriega, and Greger—as well as a pair of sacrifice flies.
Melendez delivered a scoreless top of the seventh for Stonehill as the Skyhawks broke through in the bottom half of the inning. Sophomore
Will Christopher and freshman
Will Newton reached base after being hit by pitches. Following a flyout by LeClair, Gettinger ripped a two-run double into the right-center gap, plating both runners for the Skyhawks' first runs of the game. Thorbahn followed with a sharp RBI single through the left side, scoring Gettinger and cutting the deficit to 12–3.
Despite Stonehill's late push and three scoreless innings from its bullpen, the early deficit proved too much to overcome, as Bryant secured the 12–3 win.
