HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first inning on both sides, Stonehill broke through in the top of the second, plating three runs to take the early lead. The first two runs came on a defensive miscue at shortstop, allowing Sengenberger and Sparr to come around and score. Junior Sean McGee capped the inning by driving in a run after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, extending the Skyhawks' lead to 3-0.

Stonehill added to its advantage in the third. Thorbahn delivered an RBI double, followed by a run-scoring triple from Sengenberger, pushing the lead to 5-0. Coppin State responded promptly in the bottom half of the inning, narrowing the gap with three runs. Junior Gavin Grutzmacher was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and the Eagles added two more on an infield groundout by senior Anthony Divittorio and a sacrifice fly from senior Daniel Moore.

Following the early scoring flurry, both starters—Bell and Olson—settled in, each allowing just two hits over the next two innings to keep the offenses in check. Stonehill regained momentum in the sixth and eighth innings as LeClair came around to score twice on a pair of sacrifice flies by Parks, stretching the lead to 7-3 entering the bottom of the eighth.

The Skyhawks put the game out of reach in the top of the ninth, adding three more runs. Gaspar drove in two with a double, LeClair added an RBI single, and Parks executed a sacrifice bunt to complete the inning's scoring. Coppin State pushed across one run in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn't enough, as Stonehill secured an 11-4 victory in game two of the series.
