How It Happened
Stonehill picked up where it left off Friday night, opening the scoring in the top of the first inning against Maryland Eastern Shore. LeClair singled to right field before advancing to third on a wild pitch and a stolen base. Kearney then drew a walk and took off for second, allowing LeClair to scamper home for the game's opening run.

Stonehill added to its lead in the top of the fourth with two more runs. Kearney led off the inning with a double to right before being thrown out at third one batter later when junior Jamison Howland reached on a fielder's choice. After junior John Bureau was hit by a pitch, McGee drove a double to the opposite field in right, plating Howland and doubling the Skyhawks' advantage. One batter later, senior Michael Rickert lifted a sacrifice fly to center field, allowing Bureau to tag up and score, extending the lead to 3–0.

Maryland Eastern Shore threatened in the bottom of the fourth, but Douglas and the Stonehill defense turned their second inning-ending double play of the afternoon. McGee and LeClair combined in the middle infield before Kearney completed the play at first to keep the Hawks off the board.

The Skyhawks extended their lead in the fifth when Parks, who led off the inning with a single to right, came around to score on a fielder's choice off the bat of Kearney. Stonehill capped the scoring with two more runs in the seventh. Highlighting the frame was a long RBI double to left field by Newton, allowing Parks to race all the way around from first to score.

With a six-run cushion, Douglas and Welsch combined to allow just one baserunner over the final three innings as Stonehill secured the 6–0 shutout victory and clinched the series.
