EASTON, Mass. (March 28, 2026) – The Stonehill College baseball team fell in a 12-inning thriller, dropping game two of its three-game series to NEC rival Central Connecticut State University, 11-10, on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Skyhawks slipped to 8-14 overall and 6-2 in conference play, while the Blue Devils improved to 6-10 overall and 5-6 in league action.

- Graduate student Sam Parks extended both his hitting and on-base streaks to 16 games, going 1-for-6 with a walk and scoring two runs.
- Junior Ryan LeClair and Nathan Kearney extended their on-base streaks to 17 and 16 games, respectively.
- Kearney led the Skyhawks with three runs batted in, while LeClair added two.
- Freshman Kacin Robinson notched his third career multi-hit game, finishing with a team-best three hits and reaching base a team-high five times, including two walks.
- Freshman Armanis Romero recorded a multi-hit game for the second time in his collegiate career, going 2-for-6 with a run scored and an RBI.
- Graduate student Ryan Douglas started on the mound, striking out three over 4.1 innings, while sophomore Alex Cook delivered 2.2 strong innings of scoreless relief, striking out three and keeping the Blue Devils off the board.
How It Happened
After a scoreless first inning and a half, Stonehill broke the game open with two runs in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded and one out, senior
Eisig Chin crossed the plate on a passed ball for the game's first tally, and a groundout by Romero brought Robinson home after he reached on a single to right-center.
CCSU quickly responded in the top of the third, plating four runs to take its first lead of the weekend. Stonehill answered in the bottom half, with Kearney delivering a two-run single to score Parks and senior
Michael Rickert, tying the game at 4-4.
The Blue Devils regained a two-run lead in the fifth and extended it to three in the seventh. Stonehill fought back in the bottom of the sixth, as a bases-loaded walk by Rickert and a two-run single from LeClair evened the score at 7-7.
CCSU added three more runs in the eighth to open a 10-7 lead, but the Skyhawks battled back again, scoring three in the bottom half to tie it at 10. Kearney drove in his third run with an RBI single up the middle, followed by back-to-back RBI singles from Robinson and junior
Nick Lundquist to even the score.
After loading the bases in the top of the ninth, the Blue Devils were denied by Cook, who struck out three to escape the jam. With neither team scoring in the the ninth, the game went to extras. CCSU regained the lead in the top of the 12th, and despite getting a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the frame, Stonehill fell 11-10.
