How It Happened
UMass Lowell quickly established control in the midweek contest, jumping out to a 6-0 lead after the bottom of the second inning. Stonehill responded in the third with three runs to cut into the deficit. LeClair was hit by a pitch to start the rally, before senior Michael Rickert singled and Kearney delivered an RBI double to left. Howland followed with an RBI single, and sophomore Will Newton capped the inning with a sacrifice fly.

The River Hawks added five runs in the fourth, but Stonehill answered in the fifth with another offensive burst. A sacrifice fly from Enders, an RBI double by Redden, and a two-run single from Parks kept the Skyhawks within reach.

UMass Lowell tacked on two more runs in the fifth before Stonehill again responded in the sixth, highlighted by Enders' three-run home run off the left-field foul pole.

Despite bringing the score within three, the River Hawks broke the game open in the eighth with a seven-run frame to seal the 20-10 victory.
