EASTON, Mass. (May 18, 2026) – Senior
Jimmy Gilleran of the Stonehill College baseball team has been named NEC Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Gilleran also earned NEC Prime Performer honors, while junior

Gilleran picked up his fourth win of the season on Friday against Norfolk State, tossing 8.0 innings with four strikeouts in a dominant outing on the mound. The senior raised his season strikeout total to 52 and moved within one of the 200-career strikeout milestone, now sitting at 199 collegiate punchouts.
Gilleran also made a pinch-hit appearance in Saturday's season finale, lining a single through the left side for his first career hit as a Skyhawk and his first collegiate hit since his freshman campaign at Framingham State University in 2023.
Howland turned in a strong week at the plate across four games, batting .545 (6-for-11) with three RBI, three runs scored, a homerun, a walk, and a stolen base. His week was highlighted by a perfect 4-for-4 performance against Norfolk State on Saturday, where he blasted his third homerun of the season and scored three runs. Howland closed out the season with a team-best .364 batting average, ranking 10th in the NEC.
Stonehill wrapped up its 2026 campaign by setting the program's NCAA Division I era record for single-season wins, finishing 21-28 overall with a 17-13 mark in NEC play.
