EASTON, Mass. (May 20, 2026) – Seniors
Michael Rickert and
Jimmy Gilleran of the Stonehill College baseball team earned All-NEC First Team honors, as announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.
The recognition marks the first All-NEC honor of each of their Skyhawk careers. Rickert earned NEC Prime Performer recognition three times this season, while Gilleran collected his second career Pitcher of the Week accolade earlier this week.
A native of Moosic, Pennsylvania, Rickert paced Stonehill with 52 RBI this season, the third-highest single-season total during the program's NCAA Division I era. He also posted a .304 batting average across 38 appearances, totaling 41 hits, nine doubles, and six home runs. Over his Skyhawk career, Rickert compiled 54 hits, seven home runs, and 59 RBI.
Gilleran, a Mansfield, Massachusetts native, turned in a perfect 4-0 record across 13 starts on the mound this season. He finished with a team-best 4.50 ERA, the lowest by a Stonehill starting pitcher since Pierce Friedman recorded a 3.59 ERA during the 2023 campaign. Gilleran also led the Skyhawks with 52 strikeouts, a .246 opponent batting average, and a 1.44 WHIP across 62.0 innings pitched.
Stonehill concluded its 2026 campaign with a program NCAA Division I era record for single-season victories, finishing 21-28 overall and 17-13 in NEC play.
