Warriors end Skyhawks title defense in tight semifinal to advance to Sunday's Championship match against top-seeded Bentley

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (April 22, 2010) – Second-seeded Merrimack College, ranked fifth in this week's NCAA Division II East Regional rankings, put an end to second-seeded and sixth-ranked Stonehill College's championship defense with a 5-2 decision in semifinal round action of the 2010 Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis championships at North Andover High School this afternoon.

The Falcons advanced with a 5-0 victory over fifth-seeded Adelphi University in today's other semifinal match. Stonehill (13-7, 9-2 NE-10) will now await word on a possible fifth-straight NCAA Division II Tournament bid when they are released next Wednesday.
