Sullivan and Czamota lead Hawks who snap two-game slide
MANCHESTER, N.H. (April 24, 2021) – Saint Anselm College, ranked No. 20 in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II poll, used a six goal run midway through the first half to gain control on its way to a 17-7 triumph over Stonehill College in Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse action at Grappone Stadium tonight.

Saint Anselm used a six-goal run to grab a lead it would not relinquish after two Stonehill goals from Olivia Pino on free-position shots had the Skyhawks level (2-2) nine minutes into the game.
- Sophomore Meghan Contraro scored twice and added an assist during the Saint Anselm run that provided an 8-2 cushion after a goal from senior Kelsey Czarnota with 14-minutes left in the half.
- Freshman Jess Sullivan dished out three assists in the run.
- Saint Anselm closed the half with a three-goal run, capped by two goals from sophomore Lexi Palmisano to take a nine-goal lead (13-4) into halftime.
- Sophomore Lydia Rudden opened the second half scoring with her second goal of the night five minutes in, but Saint Anselm scored four of the next five markers, with Sullivan posting a goal and assist, to push the lead into double-figures and seal the win.
Noteworthy
- Sullivan finished the night with a game-high six points, netting a goal to go with her five assists.
- Czarnato scored a game-high four goals and added an assist for five points for Saint Anselm, while Palmisano and Contraro each chipped in three goals, with Contraro dishing an assist and collecting five draw controls.
- Junior Grace Young finished with nine saves in the Saint Anselm goal.
- Fifth-year Bailey Grant made six saves, while yielding five goals, over the final 33:30 in relief of senior Kaleigh Wright who stopped six shots.
- Rudden led Stonehill with three goals, while Pino finished with the two first half goals and collected four draw controls.
- Senior Shannon Hughes contributed a goal and assist for Stonehill.
