PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 12, 2022)- Both Stonehill College and Caldwell University went back and forth for most of the game, and despite six different Skyhawks record an RBI, Stonehill fell to Caldwell, 11-8 Saturday afternoon.

Standout Performances:

• Blaine Lidsky: two hits, RBI
• Mike Swanholm: two hits, RBI
• Trey Ciulla-Hall: two hits, RBI
• Taylor Gaspar: two hits, RBI

Key Moments:

• Caldwell struck first in the first inning after RBI doubles from Kyle Richards and Liam Lombardi to make it 2-0 early on. 
• However, Stonehill got one back in the bottom half of the first (2-1) courtesy of an RBI single from Lidsky to drive in Lucier after he had reached on a fielder's choice earlier in the inning. With his single, Lidsky extended his hitting streak to eight games. 
• The Cougars and Skyhawks both matched each other's run totals in both the third (three runs) and fourth (one run) innings to make it 6-5 Caldwell heading into the bottom of the fifth. During those stretches, Caldwell hit a two-run home run in the third off the bat of Santo Anzalone, and then in the fourth for Stonehill, Swanholm ripped an RBI double to drive in Matt Farragher. 
• Stonehill tied the game in the bottom of the fifth (6-6) when Ciulla-Hall hit a sacrifice fly to center to allow Lidsky to score on the play. 
• Going into the seventh, the Cougars retook the lead (8-6) after Jalen March hit a two-run home run for Caldwell giving them momentum going into the last half-inning.
• The Skyhawsk responded though tying the game (8-8) to force extras after both Chris Roberti and Gaspar each hit RBI singles. 
• Caldwell ended up pulling away in the eighth when they scored three runs (11-8) that featured another RBI double from Richards.
