EASTON, Mass. (September 12, 2022)- The Stonehill College men's soccer team saw both Jacob Woznicki and Ryan Coutu earn Northeast Conference Prime Performer of the Week accolades as announced by the conference earlier today.

Woznicki again led the offense in Saturday's win over Saint Thomas University when he scored the eventual game-winning goal at the 78-minute mark. With his goal, Woznicki now leads the team and the NEC in goals. Not only was Saturday's Stonehill's first win of the year, but it was also the first Division I win for the college.

Coutu played a key part in the win as he stopped all shots that came his way and preserved the shutout. Coutu ended the day with five saves which marked his third straight start with five or more saves. His biggest save came late in the second half in the 86th minute when Jacek Nicowski riffled a shot for Saint Thomas, but Coutu made a clutch stop reaching up to his left which ultimately secured the win.

Stonehill leads off the week with a road contest at Bryant University on Wednesday, September 14 at 3 p.m. The squad wraps up the week with a Saturday matchup at the University of Hartford on Saturday, September 17 at 3 p.m.
