LOWELL, Mass. (March 29, 2023)- The Stonehill College baseball team continued their six-game road trip with a non-conference matchup at UMass Lowell where the squad fell, 10-3 Wednesday afternoon at LeLacheur Park.

- After UMass Lowell got the scoring started with a three-run first, Stonehill cut the deficit to one (3-2) in the top half of the second after the Skyhawks took advantage of a couple of errors by the River Hawks. Gaspar and Kiely each recorded RBIs in the inning and for Kiely, he has now posted an RBI in two of his last four games.
- UMass Lowell ended up breaking things open in the fourth when the hosts posted a four-run fourth inning highlighted by an RBI single from Brandon Fish and increased their lead to seven (9-2) after the hosts tacked on a run in the second and third.
- Despite Jack Marshall grounding out in the fifth, he was able to drive in Sam Parks who drew a walk earlier in the inning. With his fifth inning RBI, Stonehill found themselves now down six.
- The River Hawks kept Stonehill at bay the rest of the contest and after an RBI single by Alex Luccini put the UMass Lowell lead back up to seven, the hosts would end up holding on for the 10-3 win.
